The renowned poet presented historical facts that despite being known, turned new when combined with harmony, and even more so when he delivered his lecture before experts in the field with a confidence and audacity that led to the well-deserved final applause.

And as very well said Eliel Gomez, President of the Holguin branch of the JoseMarti Cultural Society, "Ronel calls us to study the National Hero from other angles, and to do it in the way he has justs hown us".

Marti lived his last Christmas Eve on that December 24, 1894, and he was overwhelmed by the anguish of feeling almost guilty for the misfortune of a masterful expedition organized by the Apostle under the nose of so much Spanish-American espionage, in spite of its wise organization and execution, which was only broken by ungrateful people and people who were not willing to keep silent when the moment demanded so.

It was, without a doubt, a master class without going as far as exaggeration, because brief doesn't mean lack of depth, it was there where Ronel earned recognition because, without perhaps intending it, he showed how much there is to be investigated yet, because not even in La Obras Completas exits all what Marti wrote in barely 42 years.

There, Ronel opens a door for us when he tells us there is still much to be known about Marti because in his eagerness to take care of the liberation deed and to keep the necessary discretion, he used many pseudonyms.

Without a doubt, the Holguin branch of theJoseMarti Cultural Societys cored an important goal in its last gathering this 2020 by inviting poet Ronel Gonzalez to speak about Marti, and two singers from the local Rodrigo Prats lyric theater company as well as violinist Hiram Arencibia. That made the audience feel like Marti junior in the film "Marti, el ojo del canario" by Cuban Fernando Perez, who slipped into then Havana's Villanueva Theater to enjoy the beautiful choral setting of the opera Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi, and where freedom of the Fatherland was claimed, together with "out traitors".
