The recreational-cultural and sports event, which is programmed on a rotating basis in the mountain communities of Holguin province, is dedicated this time to the 106th anniversary of the Tumba Francesa de Bejuco, a renowned community institution rooted in the mountainous area of Sagua de Tanamo, informed Raul Parra Rodriguez, representative of Culture for the state run Turquino Plan.
This year the Trepada Cultural calls for the fulfillment of the regulations of covid-19, therefore, only amateur artists from Sagua de Tanamo will perform, as well as sports activists from this municipality, and not with representatives from other parts of the province, as before.
Parra Rodriguez explained that as part of the Trepada Cultural, the Provincial Forum of the Plan Turquino will take place, - an event organized by the Provincial Commission, as well as the contest Proyecto Conectando Paisajes, sponsored by the Provincial Delegation of Citma (Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment).
Likewise, Parra Rodriguez announced the Provincial Mountain Film Festival from 11 to 16 December, for the enjoyment of lovers of the seventh art in the communities of El Quemado, La Ayua, El Manquito, Limoncito, Rancho Alegre and El Culebro in the municipality of Frank Pais.
Raul Parra Rodriguez added that the Trepada Cultural is a community event that is supported by the Government, and the Directorates of Culture, Sports, Education, Health, the Citma and other entities that bring sound recreation to the mountainous communities.
