Among the topics discussed, various documents proposed by the administrative entities were approved, such as the case of movements of professional judges of the Provincial People's Court, requests for pension rights, and the proposals of the voters to Hydraulic Resources that have not been fulfilled up to now, as well as the causes and possible solutions.
It is important to highlight the approval of the project ''Strengthening of capacities to respond to the prevention and confrontation of human trafficking and the protection of victims with a gender perspective'', a collaboration between the UN Population Fund (UNFPA-UN) and the National Union of Jurists of Cuba (UNJC).
The main objective of this national project is "to contribute to the comprehensive and multidisciplinary preparation of legal professionals in the prevention and confrontation of human trafficking and the protection of victims, as well as to contribute to the legal culture of the population in this area for the effective exercise of their rights".
The actions will be developed by the provincial headquarters of the UNJC, and will have as beneficiaries the population of the municipalities of Holguin, Gibara and Moa.
Also, "for the achievements achieved in a continuous way in the work" was approved the awarding of the Prize to Quality and Competitiveness of the province of Holguín in its 15th edition, corresponding to 2019, to the entities "Transtur Holguin Branch" and "Territorial Division of Commercialization of Fuels Holguín, CUPET". The Project and Engineering Company ENPA UEB DIP Mayarí, was a finalist for the award.
During the meeting was also considered the behavior of the economy plan and the execution of the budget at the end of the semester, as well as the status of the accounts receivable and payable.
In the meeting it was emphasized that despite the impact of the pandemic and, taking into account the adjustment made to the Economy Plan, the province ends the first semester of the year with efficiency and effectiveness in the main economic indicators. / By Department of Institutional Communication.
