Dr. Mirna Aguilera Bauzá, head of the Maternal and Child Care Section of the Provincial Health Directorate, explains that this level is higher for the same period in 2019, then 3, 45 - a rate still coveted by many nations, even developed ones.
Likewise, the Doctor of Medicine informed that this result places Holguín among the three best provinces in that section in Cuba. Although eager for a higher birth rate, Aguilera Bauzá reported the birth of 4,751 children so far.
These results come to Holguín thanks to the efforts of the medical personnel linked to the Mother and Child Program, known as Pami, for its Spanish acronym.
