During the meeting, the vice-president of the Provincial Defence Council called on deepening on productive chain of Holguin industry with its 35 structures; also to work on imports substitution and the control of resources.

The leader extoled the examples in this sense of the electric engine factory in the municipality of Cacocum, and the zeolite processing plant of San Andrés in Holguin municipality.

As on the units of the Ministry of the Food Industry, she said that in June Holguin Dairy Industry must recover the delays in milk delivery, and hat it must collect all possible amount of milk and work on by-products.

It was said that the municipality of Sagua de Tánamo could support on this line, despite not having a delivery plan, and they should look for reserves in all the municipalities.

"Fishing has much to do in food productionm, she said; therefore, we have to work harder and intensify our efforts. It is the strongest sector today in the food industry.

"The pig breding sector must increase work too; that is why, all the pig producers will be visited. It is true that the delivery of animal food is complex today, but this is the time to show their commitment to the people'', she added.

"Holguín Food Industry meets huge challenges today, and the focus is on the opportunities to be taken for the future in this sector in all the municipalities'', she stressed.

About the entities and organizations of the budgeted sector in the province, it was known that 63 units demand today resources, what leads to applying all economic measures at their reach for their operation.

Another system analyzed was that of Construction, mainly the House Building Program, about which the Provincial Governor, Julio Vesar Estupiñan Rodriguez said it must be updated in June, and to recover delays.

Agriculture and its different structures fail to comply with a some indicators, which are even related to other sectors, with products such as milk, meat, grains, honey and coal, among others.

For his part, Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, president of the Provincial Defence Council , stressed on the need of deeping into the control and work of the territorial business system, in addition to the commitment to the Homeland by every people in Holguin, no matter wherever he/she is.

"The Aqueduct and Sewerage Company still has challenges. We understand the problems of water supply in Guardalavaca because it does not provide the same levels of service to tourism, but in the rest of the territory it is necessary to increase demands," he said.

It is true that in the coming months, everyone's participation in economic tasks will be required, including those related to food production. It is up to the people of Holguín to prove that they could, can and always will be able to do so.
