Provincial Directorate of Public Health in Holguin
It directs, executes and controls the application of the State and Government policy in terms of Public Health and the development of medical sciences in the territory. It fulfills the indications that in this sense emit the Ministry of Public Health, the direction of the party and the Government in the Province.
To guarantee health services, the province has 38,011 workers and has 947 services linked to medical assistance and teaching at the provincial level. The health system in the province has a network of institutions that ensure the availability of 3,782 beds for medical care (3.6 x 1,000 inhabitants), 800 beds for social assistance, 393 dental units and 947 services related to medical care and teaching at the provincial level.
